Biography of Hon. Ogagbolo Baba Peter

Hon. Ogagbolo Baba Peter was born on May 3, 1960, in Ogbaulu, Agatu Local Government of Benue State. He demonstrated academic excellence from an early age, attending the prestigious Wesley Transfer School, Ogbaulu Agatu, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in July 1973. His outstanding performance earned him a position as a classroom teacher, where he taught from 1973 to 1977.

Pursuing further education, Hon. Ogagbolo attended Government Teachers College Utonkon, obtaining a Grade 2 certificate in 1982. He taught for six years before proceeding to the University of Jos, where he earned a (link unavailable) in Geography/Education with a second-class lower division. After working for 13 consecutive years, he furthered his education at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, obtaining an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from 2005 to 2007.

Hon. Ogagbolo’s work experience spans over four decades, with notable positions including:

• Lecturer at Gloryland College of Education, Ogwule (2020-2024)
• Facilitator (Lecturer) at NTI Obagaji Study Center (1997-2024)
• Head of Department (Education) at Gloryland College of Education, Ogwule-Agatu (2021-2024)

In recognition of his achievements, His Excellency Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia appointed Hon. Ogagbolo as a member of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC). He currently serves as the Commissioner for Legal and Security Matters, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to the role.
